Yesteryear Collection

Every small town that supports a farming community has a supply store like Wilson's Grain & Feed. Farmers stop by to pick up food for all their livestock, making a store like Wilson's an essential part of the farming and small town community. Sons, fathers and grandfathers have all made their way down to Wilson's and they looked eagerly for Wilson's pickup to come rumbling up the road. Old Mr. Wilson has long known that if the farmers are going to depend on him, then he needs a truck he can rely on. That's why he drives an International Harvester pickup truck.

In the early part of the century, International Harvester Company produced a varied line of trucks, buses and express wagons. In 1921, the company introduced a famous line of trucks, the S-series, known as "Red Babies," which became very popular with farmers. The 1934 C-series light-duty truck (International Harvester began using alphabetical designations in the 1930s) became even more famous, for it was the first International Harvester truck to feature automobile-like styling. Powered by a six-cylinder, 213 cubic inch engine, the C-series trucks sported a v-type aluminium grille and slanted windows. The C-1 International Harvester had a production output of 75,000 units and is a landmark in International harvester's truck production. Now, Wilson's 1934 International Harvester C-Series light-duty truck is recreated in an intricate die-cast replica. Marked with the logo of Wilson's Feed and Grain and crafted with bales of hay and bags of feed in the bed, this fascinating model is produced by - and available only from - Matchbox Collectibles.
